I am building an outdoor model railroad in O scale and need to get from my house out to the garden. But I have to cross a piece of lawn to move my trains. My mowing crew needs to drive through this area and I don't wish to block them from either side. I recall someone did something similar in one of the magazines but I cannot find the article.

Concrete?

Photos? I'm having difficulty visualizing the physical setup of what it looks like in the area where you and the landscaping crew would have to cross the tracks.

I'm pretty sure the G (45mm) gauge crew does this all the time though.

Also - two or three rail O scale?

I would suggest searching on "outdoor grade crossing" on the Railroad Magazine Index (https://rrmagazineindex.org/) - you'll see a lot of links to Garden Railways magazine. It might be worth your while to sign up for the 30 day free access to Trains.com to get access to the Garden Railways magazine archives.

Right now the site appears to be down and I am getting 502 and 503 errors attempting to access it.

outdoor model railroad in O scale ?

Is this outdoor part of the layout at ground level or is it raised to match the  level inside the house? .....DaveB
