BuckeyeDon

Hello all,

I'm looking for detailed plans for a HULETT ORE UNLOADER.  If anyone has a set of

detailed plans or knows where I can get or purchase a set, please let me know.

Thanks.

Try this

a Google search on "hulett unloader drawings" found many drawings.

So take a look to see if they have enough detail.

@ Don

If you jump onto the yahoo steel group I believe one of the members purchased a lot of the late Mike Rabbitts material.

Mike had many drawings, most were scaled down to HO when he sent them out.

I do know he had Huletts in the collection

Think before you post, try to be positive, and you do not always have to give your  opinion……

Steel Mill Modelers SIG, it’s a blast(furnace)!

Oh, Mike passed huh.  I found

Oh, Mike passed huh.  I found an old site of his and he had plans for the Hulett as well as other plans

for steel mill structures.  The yahoo steel group you mention, how would I access it?

Steel group is no longer Yahoo?

Hi Don, Bob

Bob - Is the Yahoo steel group still active? I thought most, if not all all, of the content got migrated to Groups.io when Yahoo's new owner changed all the rules some time back. I bailed out of all my Yahoo groups at that time, as did a lot of others. Their new operating rules just about made smaller lower-posting groups almost impossible to operate.

There are  couple of the Steel group members here, but I'm not too sure how active they are here. In case no-one else gets you an answer first - the front door is at  https://groups.io/g/STEEL for the Groups,io "Steel" group

Hopefully, I'll see you bob up there soon,

I think BearcoMarine is out

I think BearcoMarine is out of business.  Iv'e tried their website and it seems the ordering system is not

working.  Iv'e tried emailing them, no response and no-one answers the phone when you call.

Unsure as to whether this video has been referenced? It does appear to be recently produced,..... about the history on these machines.

Hi all,
Given some of the previous replies, perhaps some the most accessible drawings for a starting point are at https://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/oh0121/

Go to the Drawings heading and download all 5 drawings in the larger tif file format. And there are also 50-plus photos of Pennsy's Whiskey Island Hulett Unloaders. Whiskey Island was demolished in 2000.
