It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em.  There were a few late-comers in last week's post.  Check them out, then come back here afterward.

Vermont Theme photo week - Freshly mowed fields

In keeping with the opening photo theme of Vermont, here's CP Rail train 904 rolling south past freshly mowed hayfields in Barton, VT.

@Neil

Hi Neil, you nailed that scene at Barton. Wow!

Love the freshly cut hayfield details...right down to the light/dark patterns made by the haying equipment traveling in different directions across the field.

Having grown up a farm kid, I love that bale throw wagon. May I ask what you used for the frame/chassis? Would love to see a few more pics and learn more details about it!

Thanks,

Jack

Thanks Jack,

The bale throw wagon was built by a friend of mine, Randy LaFramboise, also a farmer that grew up in Vermont.  I don't know what he used for a base, but it's soft white metal, the rest is made from styrene strips.  Randy is a master at scratchbuilding and I was thankful he offered to build it for me, literally in a week.  Here's a couple pictures that might help.

Round Barn

Thanks Dee,

The structure is a round barn, based on the prototype at Barnet, VT.  See the link below for a prototype photo.

Clarendon & Pittsford passing the station.

Clarendon & Pittsford #500 passing the Center Rutland Station.  The station was built by my friend Mike Evans.

The station served both the Rutland on the back side and the D&H  as viewed.

The Clarendon & Pittsford Railroad was owned by the Vermont Marble Co.
