BIG auto cars

You mean something like these 2 models I was testing out for entry to my 'underground' staging tracks

yes, big arn't they.

longer than my big turn table. taller than anything else.

(except other auto carriers, or double stacks, but then those are not just a big long wall.).

21st century

To my eye they're roughly 2000-present.

era?

I don't know the era, they were just great looking cars. And a number of years ago someone showed up at the Timonium train show with some at a very good price,...so I bought 2 sets of each.

I really use to love going to that show. Too bad I'm too far away now and can't justify the trip from FL to Md. (Plus with today's prices, I'm glad I bought a good amount of my trains back then, and while I still had a working income).
