I get a "-bA-" on my Digitrax DCS51 display.  Anyone know what that means?  I can't find any info in the manual or Digitrax web site. Thanks!

Sure that isn't -br-?

-br-               DCS51 is set up as a booster

Since it's hard to mistake one for the other, this might be a good time to call or shoot an email at Digitrax.

. . .

MY best guess is that both OPSW 2 and 3 are setup for an Autoreversing Booster which would explain the bA.

Nope, it was "-bA-"

The problem occurred after our area had several power glitches due to storms, and then a full power outage for about an hour.

I submitted a ticket to Digitrax support and received a solution within minutes (pleasantly surprised Digitrax responded so quickly!).  The solution was to set the Zephyr to its factory defaults by closing Option Switch 39.

Digitrax said "The storms may have caused this if power was unstable."

I did the reset and it solved the problem, the Zephyr is back up and running.

(I still don't know what "-bA-" means....).

Thanks!

You non believer...

It is  OPSW 2 close and OPSw 3 close.. Yours was set to be a booster only in Autoreverse mode.

I put my Zephyr in to these modes to test.

yep, -bR-

Yep, it's -bR- ... that's a digital display R, which is a bit wonky, so it could be an A or an R. If -bA- is not listed but -bR- is listed in the manual, then there you go. It's an R.

Oh boy!...

NO!.. It is - bA - .  not listed but simple enough to decipher.

When OPSW 2 is closed the Zephyr becomes a booster and displays the - br - in lower case.

If one adds the Autoreverse feature (OPSW 3)  to it it then becomes a booster and autoreverser and displays the - bA -

Autoreverser is only possible while the Zephyr is in it's Booster mode, not in Command Station mode.

Normal operation the Zephyr displays - cS-  to indicate Command Station mode.

Okay, -bA-

Okay, then it's a status the manual failed to list?

bA = booster Autoreverser

If memory serves.

And I think Digitrax uses a lower case r when needed.
