Firefox warning of SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE when attempting to view page.  Expired 7/4.

I am sure it was overlooked with the Covid19 issues, but it's that time again.

Certificate regen is failing

Every month, we have an automatic certificate regenerate that runs. That task is failing.

Our hosting only provides support on weekdays, not on weekends or holidays.

The perfect storm -- today is not a weekday, and tomorrow is a holiday for many businesss.

It could be Tuesday before they get this resolved.

The entire certificate thing

The entire certificate thing is a joke,  wait tell you try to deal with Windows 11.  it requires you to have VBS, TPM etc. on your PC.  So you have a "Secure Experience",

To run Windows 11, devices must have an Intel Core processor from at least 2017, or AMD Zen 2 processors from 2019 onward.  Trusted Platform Module, or TPM 2.0 chip, a component Microsoft has required in all new Windows devices.

Get set to buy a new PC to access the web.  As the new standards come in your computer needs to be of a certain security level to access a website.  If it is not you will be locked out of the web.   If you are still running windows XP you are the problem and the plan now is just to make it hard for anyone with a pre 2017 computer to access the web.

It will also make it easier to track you as you PC will be the only one in the world with your access code.  So everyone will know every place you have been on the web, but with very accurate tracking.

You love your VPN...  Cool but when websites require your Computer ID to access them a VPN means nothing.  We know what computer you are using and can track it down like bread crumbs.
