Here in the UK, there used to be one or more exhibitions almost every weekend of the year. Since Covid, a few clubs have ventured into the realms of 'virtual' exhibitions, which has also been happening in the US.

I was recently asked to create a short video of my layout for a virtual exhibition by the Risborough and District MRC. Their 'in real life' exhibition that I was supposed to attend having been cancelled.

Here is the video I created, which may be of interest. I am hoping to be able to attend real exhibitions again in the Autumn.

Freshwater layout

Now THAT's a good way to show a small layout. Nice storyline. Excellent and relatable time and space difficulties.

Innovation, experimentation, scratch building, etc. all inclusive.

I suppose next you will need to move on to sound where it will not be easy to fit a good speaker into those terriers, but it would be fun to hear them chuffing along the sidings.

I for one would be interested to see the track plan and an overall panoramic of the entire layout.

P.S. Sunshine and blue skies on the Isle of Wight? What day was that? Heh. Just kidding. Well done.

Plan

Here is my plan. The scenic part is 5 feet by 1 foot 6 inches, taken from the O.S map with no compression. The track layout is how it was remodelled in the 1920's, except I did not remove the short siding to the end loading platform.

Fitting a DCC decoder and some stay-alive capacitors into the Terrier cabs was a struggle, speakers are a definite 'No'. However, I would like to add under baseboard speakers, maybe one day.

As for the sunshine, it's amazing what you can do with LEDs.
