Heads up, Joe and Patty have come down with some very nasty bug.

UPDATE: Took a covid test to be sure and it's positive, so we have Covid-19.

Expect output from MRH in June to be much reduced. :-(

P.S. That’s the problem with being a mom and pop business. When BOTH mom and pop are sick, nothing moves.

UPDATE: We're on the mend now, but both of us are suffering from notable post-covid symptoms: we fatigue easily (need a nap every few hours) and have trouble eating. Food looks interesting, we just can't eat very much or we will be sorry. Anything fatty is out.

I (Joe) am also dealing with post covid shortness of breath. I get easily winded if I get up and walk across the room and I start panting. I'm on a post-Covid treatment designed to help heal lung damage from Covid.

Joe and Patti sick

Feel better ASAP, we will survive and next issue will be stuffed with wonderful things!

As a frequent flyer to the flu you have my sympathies, take plenty of meds and chicken soup!

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Its been a long time since i had a real nasty flu, but I do recall that it is NO FUN at all.

Try to get some sleep,...NyQuil helps with that if I remember properly.

sorry to hear you're both down...

I'm joining the others.. wishing you both a speedy recovery, and placing my (our) desires for a magazine on hold.

Please be good patients and do what the doctor orders.  I really hope you simply encountered the flu, which, with all its aches, is bad enough.  Be wary of lung health.

Fond wishes!

To fellow modelers, joe would certainly ask you to visit the advertiser's websites in solidarity.  Let's!

Get well soon

I don't envy you trying to catch up once you are better.  Might be a point where the June issue just becomes the July issue.

Get well both of you!

Don't worry about the magazine.  Just do what is necessary to get well.  Your health is much more important than a hobby magazine.

Take care of yourselves...

Tough news, take care of yourselves. It's weird that you got the flu because there was very little issue with it this past season due to all the masking up, social distancing and other COVID precautions. Never say never though. Feel better!

Got it from our grandkids

We got it from our grandkids. We don't mask up, etc around them unless we know they're sick. Once we found out they had gotten sick it was too late ... uh oh.

Vitamin C Joe

and lots of it.

When a bug hits I use either vitamin C 1000-2500 units an hour. Discovered this when I was sick for a week and really needed to get back to work. Knocked it out in less then a day.

Elder berry juice also works. Loaded with vit C also. A regular spoon full every hour. Get the concentrate and don't dilute it.

Take care of yourselves and don't worry about the magazine deadline, the material will still be just as good if it appears in a later issue.

Your community is with you

Hi Joe- You have fostered a real community via MRH and the forum over the years.  I join the others in wishing a speedy recovery to both you and Patti.  I repeat what has been said over and over-- get better soon, do not worry about a missing an issue (or two...) of the magazine.  Hope you can do something fun once you feel better before plunging back into the business.  You deserve a break.

Stay in bed and get better..

..the magazine can wait.  Jeff (or another member of the MRH "Staff") does this mean the roll out of the New Forum site is going to be put on hold as well until Joe feels better?
