Four days of drawing, going over my list of what must be on the layout and what I could drop from the layout. Here is what I come up with so far. The layout will have freight and passenger service in 1959. the Joint line is South of Denver going to Palmer Lake. The Colorado and Southern is north of Denver to Longmont.

Nice to see you rebuilding.  Seems a little smaller but more manageable.

Joint Line 2 seperate tracks, helper operations

Hi Mike, maybe there is a way to add 2 seperate tracks between Denver and PL. Adding a track to cutoff helpers in PL would increase the operations interest for your replica of the Joint Line. To fit in the landmark ATSF bridge in Larkspur is probably not possible. But, wouldn't your trains look great crossing it? Hmmm ... From your first video it looks like you have a lot more space in your workshop and lounge. So, maybe you could rearrange it a bit. Just my 5 cents. All the best, looking forward to your progress.

It doesn't appear there is

It doesn't appear there is any helixes.  What will be the grads down to staging and how much separation will you have been decks or clearance above staging?

Mike,

I was thinking the same thing about the ATSF bridge but that why I post the plans to get ideas and  say to myself

"I never thought about that"....

the work shop is a shared space and I do many other project so that 20 X31 foot space is not getting much smaller.

The crew lounge is also shared with my wife so no more space can be taken from there.......750 SQ FT for a layout that you might have one or two people help  build  will take more then 10 years to build It will be just fine.
