Darent

For the last year I've been working on this Gantry Crane, and finally got it working after waiting for the arrival of the radio gear. Still a lot to do on it but I'm happy with the results.

Great work!

Nice crane, I also saw your other videos which showed your progress. I'm building some cranes myself - kits and scratchbuilt - so it would be interesting to learn more about your design choices.

Crane construction

On my Facebook page is the full details on constructing the Crane, it's called North Kent Light Railway.

My design choice was made on a concrete beamed version that fitted the small area in my yard, and one of the other reasons was that the motor/control cubicle would be used as a spare on our groups layout called The Yard which also has a Gantry Crane, look up The Yard on YouTube . The photo shows The Yard crane which is significantly different.

Ive tried the Profs way to post, unfortunately my YouTube does show that way.

Thanks

Thanks John, sometimes the tech thing is just beyond me, I'd be OK if it was steam powered.
