I've read differing opinions on whether it needs additional thinning for airbrushing but I'm going to be brush painting.

My Own Test

I picked some of this brand up yesterday to make my own color for painting the sides of my rail. I used a yellow and a tan at first. Test was good and it went on and stayed. No flowing issues.

It wasn't quite dark enough so I added a craft paint, Americana raw sienna to it. That worked for the color I was looking for. Craft paint is a bit thicker then Model Master. It still spread well and I did about a foot of track as a test.

I suspect depending on what you are painting you might need 2 coats. That also depends on the color also.

If you have a sprue test it on that first.

Thanks, Jack.  I'll be using the MM to paint styrene.

MM Acrylic

For brush painting I use Model Master Acrylic straight from the bottle.  It generally has good coverage and as long as you don't work it too much (repeatedly brush the same section) it goes on well.  As Jack mentioned you may need a second coat.

For airbrushing you will need to thin it.
