Sometime in the last few days Trainmasters TV started coming up with blank white pages in both Chrome and Edge when I try to log in.

When I go here ( TrainMasters TV | Catalog) in Edge, I get this:

itled(1).jpg with the four little icons on the bottom, along with the copyright and powered by notes (cut off in this screenshot).

Chrome is the same way.

Firefox does seem to work right.

What happened? I made no changes to my computer.

It is not out of date. I thought of that and it was, so I updated it and reset all the settings. It made no difference.

Chrome is also up to date.

TMTV is still not working.

I would think it was my firewall or some such, but TMTV works in Firefox.

Behavior is exactly the same

Behavior is exactly the same in Edge and Chrome. I go to trainmasters.tv and am sent to .../catalog. The header and footer of the page is there, but no list of categories or the video thumbnails that accompany each one.

When I click on the logo in the header, trainmasters.tv with no /xxx following appears in the URL, and that page loads just fine. trainmasters.tv/sign_in is a completely blank page. The blog and the more picks in the menu work just fine too.

Odd that Chrome and Edge would behave the same, but even odder that Firefox functions just fine.

This is new behavior - when I checked TMTV in Edge a few days ago, it worked fine.

Working fine in Chrome Version 88.0.4324.150 (Official Build)

I'm using the 64-bit build of Chrome, since I use the 64-bit version of Win 10 (version 1909).

I've never used Edge, so can't help with any info there.

The only thing I can think of is go into both Chrome and Windows, and check your settings for videos.  I had something reset the audio volume in Chrome to minimum yesterday, so anytime I tried to play a video using Chrome, I had minimal volume even with the speaker volume set to maximum.  Normally that setting can be heard outside the house halfway down the driveway (found that out the last time I went outside to shovel snow - ouch!).  I had to noodle around with a number of things until I found out that the audio setting in Chrome had been turned to about 5%.  Moving it back to the high end restored all the audio control to my hardware speaker controls and Windows audio slider.  Game audio was unaffected, because those never use any browser.

Since Edge is now using Chromium as a source, maybe there are controls in both browsers that were affected.  Good luck, let us know how you make out.

No internet here so can’t test

No internet here and no power here due to nasty ice storm on Friday. They’re saying could be another 72 hrs (3 days). Meanwhile weather report is predicting a possible repeat performance in the weather tonight. Weather not due to improve until THU, Feb 18. Meanwhile MRH is dead in the water and unable to do anything for maybe up to a week yet. The Feb issue due to be released tomorrow will be lucky to even get out this month, sheesh. What a nightmare. I’m typing this on my ipad while sitting on the side of the highway where I could get three bars LTE. Many cell towers are out as well. It’s almost dark territory here for maybe another week. On top of that falling trees have hit the house and one car. It’s not pretty here. And a possible repeat performance tonight. Ugh.

Pruitt,

Out of curiosity when I saw the post I logged on to Trainmaster TV and no issues at all- on Chrome.

Have you tried flushing your cache?  Maybe something got corrupted.

Well, I dunno. Video settings

Well, I dunno. Video settings seem to be fine, as far as I can tell. YouTube and other videos all work. As far as I know, TMTV is the only site that's not working. It's certainly possible that some setting changed, but I reset everything, rebooted, and still have no luck.

I love computers.

MS Edge is Different Now

The current version of Edge and Chrome are kinda siblings now ... they both use the open source Chromium rendering engine, etc

Microsoft threw in the towel with original Edge and its compatibility problems.
