Question for Roger Chrysler — cutting grooves in boxcar siding TMTV general discussion

I have been watching your series on Work cars.  You remove the plastic molded ladders and replace them with Tichy ladders.  The tool you recom,end works very well  How do you cut the grooves to match the existing grroves in the siding?  Special tool?

Groovy tips

I'm not Roger, but I recently removed cast-on details from Accurail wood-sheathed boxcars and needed to add the grooves. I used a couple of X-Acto blades and dental tools.

I also recently posted the play-by-play step on my DesignBuildOp blog. It's an easy process but a few strokes with an X-Acto blade are not enough to resemble the sheathing grooves on the model.
