The key spotting features are the square top chord that ran between the grab irons as well as the flat sill plate that ran between the bolsters.

This easy-to-build freight car kit is available in six colorful paint schemes including:

•Burlington Northern
•Chicago, Burlington & Quincy
•Chicago & North Western
•Conrail
•Norfolk & Western
•SOO Line

Variety is good

Looking forward to it.  Need another gon to serve Pitts scrap yard.  By the '80s these were used for all sorts of low-value loads, and for hauling MofW supplies.

What is the Build Date on this Gondola Kit

I have an interest in increasing eastern/midwestern railroad gondola laden/empty return traffic on the SP Cal-P mainline (Oakland to Sacramento) line on my layout which is set in the 1949-54 period.  That and I much prefer plastic kits.

To new for you I expect. From the "Prototype History" on the entry Scale Trains web site :"200 Class GM-6A 52’ 6” Gondola were built in 1967/1968 by Burlington’s Havelock Shops just outside of Lincoln, Nebraska."
