Does anyone have a track diagram or information on customers served by Guilford Rail in the 1980's in and around Woodsville NH?

Thanks!

If not, why not?

Arv, I don't know squat about Woodsville, but I know who might. There is a Boston and Maine Historical Society (duck go it). They  should have track layouts, photos from different eras. Getting accurate information if you follow a prototype road will give you better results for your efforts. Might even make new friends in your town.

Some leads

Hi Geof,

I wish I had some direct information to help you. You might get useful information on the Railroad.net forums for the B&M, Pan Am, and New England Railfan. There are also Facebook groups corresponding to those topics where people might also be able to help.

Scott Whitney's track charts (you can find them on his page, I think, at https://www.nmro.org/)probably include charts of Woodsville, though those would be from the B&M days. In addition, Paul Dolkos's B&M (which was covered in MR about 10 years ago) focuses on a fictionalized version of Woodsville / Wells River called Woodsriver .

As you probably know, rail wasn't doing so well up in those parts by the Guilford days. Things would probably be much more exciting 20-30 years earlier in time.

Best of luck!
