Good afternoon,

I'm trying to put together  Walthers Skyscraper Construction Site.  I can't quite figure out the roof over the sidewalk.  Would you paint it black and try to color the lines afterwards or paint it all tan(?) and then use a black wash to fill in the main part?  Any other ideas of how to paint a roof over a sidewalk_dt8_big.jpg ?

Thanks!

From the photo it looks like they painted the roof black first.

The tan / dirt color appears to represent seems in the roofing material and construction dust.

As a construction worker I would expect this temporary part of the structure to be entirely made of bare wood(2x4’s,2x6’s) and plywood without paint or roofing material because it’s simply there to shield pedestrians from falling debris.

I agree with Shawn.  That

I agree with Shawn.  That roof/cover is throw away for the construction company, they would make if as cheap as possible.  What you have now looks like a quickly thrown together for that's getting dirty from construction debris.  Id say it looks perfect as is!
