That train remnded me of an incident when I was working

before retirement.  I was sent out on my service truck to repair a refrigeration unit on a car that carried liquid oxygen or hydrogen (I don't remember which).  The car was used to haul the rocket fuel to Vandenburg Air Force Base on the coast.  The car had been spotted at the Budweiser siding in Van Nuys so that I would not need to go on the base.

When I was visiting with the security guard before heading back to the shop, he told me a story.

He had come to work one day and found one of their insulated boxcars with the door open.  This guard was in his 70's so he was not interested in taking chances confronting anyone; so he called the railroad police.  The railroad police were over a hundred miles away down near San Diego, so they told him they wouldn't be able to be there for at least three hours.  When the police finally showed up, they found a Toyota or Nissan pick up loaded with cases of beer parked near the car.  They went inside and found 2 guys passed out on the beer surrounded by empty beer cans!   They carried the guys out and "poured" them into the back of the squad car.  They didn't even need cuffs.

Apparently after they had loaded the truck, they decided to have a few beers and tried to drink a 57 foot boxcar dry!
