Before Jim Six covered Lorain, Ohio as a possibility for modeling in an issue of Running Extra a few months back, I had never heard of the place.

Now it seems to jumping up into my view all of the time.

"The annual International Tree and Model Train Display has not gone away due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

But, this year’s Trees and Trains exhibit is different from years past, its chief conductor said."

It's always nice to see my

It's always nice to see my hometown brought up in a forum for a good reason. There's actually a lot of different train interest in the area but nobody coordinates with each other.

Lorain and Jim Six

I live about thirty minutes from Lorain, this whole area is rich in railroad history!   And I recently have started back in the hobby and am glad to hear Jim is still out there!!

Lorain

Its good to hear anything good about Lorain -- its about 45 minutes or so from me, and that poor town has really had a rough way to go -- lots of economic and crime problems -- great to see good things happening there -- more good things will help turn things around!!!

A book titled "The Lake Terminal Railroad 1895-1995" by J. D. Brown (1996) contains photos, track diagrams and other historical information. If Jim Six's writings have whetted your interest, this will answer many questions.
