MRH, which I downloaded as the preview edition, opens at a size of 95.9% and displays ONLY two pages at a time.  When I open the latest download of RE, it also displays at 95.9% but displays the two pages AND part of the third page.  If I stay at 95.9% size in the RE edition, when I roll my scroll button, which allows me to correctly display the next two pages of the free MRH, doing the same in RE yields me missing the other half of the third page.  I have to go past and do two clicks of the thumbwheel, and then GO BACK one to display the whole TOC.

Can't be my browser, Adobe Reader settings, since one displays correctly, the other does not.

I am running Windows 7 professional, and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 20.009.20074.61578.

Is there any other information you need to troubleshoot this problem?

Regards.

Anyone else getting this behavior?

Is anyone else getting this behavior? We’re not. It’s working fine here.

Adaptive Edition Problems

I am having same issue as OP with the July RE and MRH. Windows 10 Professional using Adobe Acrobat DC.  The preview was fine. Worked OK in Acrobat and I let you know of my approval.  I have a 24 inch monitor so I can actually see what is on the screen and that is why I stick with a PC.

The full July opened at 75% and had 3 and 1/2 pages across.  Had to scroll right to see rest of page. Made it difficult to follow articles.

Is there a different pdf reader app we should download and use? Does Adaptive have a reader that will work.  I have no love for Adobe. I was consulting at Adobe on their financials when they bought Acrobat and saw the chaos.

Try again

Okay, I've changed the settings on the Adaptive edition of both RE and MRH. Download and try again, please. Let me know if my changes made any difference.

Changes made a lot of difference

Joe

I was in the same Zoom with you this morning...

Yes the changes did work so that it looks like the preview. I reduce to 75% view and get a readable whole two pages.

Hope this doesn't screw up other platforms.

Still looking for alternate to Adobe.....

best

Adaptive version

Joe,

Windows 10  at 1920x1080 resolution & Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2020.009.20074)

I just downloaded the adaptive version of MRH and the RE versions. Both display on my laptop as a single page when going into full screen mode (Ctrl-L). When zooming out in full screen mode Acrobat Reader will never add the second page, just make the single page smaller.

In the default view the Adaptive versions cuts off the bottom 1/5th or so of the two pages being displayed side by side and requires a zoom to around 75% to get the full two pages to show.

Wide versions display fine in default and full-screen views without having to zoom out. The test version you provided in June did display as two facing pages.

Both platforms now work identically.

Thanks Joe.
