I see a lot of 1:150 “n scale” vehicles. Where might I get 1:160 vehicles other than woodland Scenics or classic metal work - which is shaky when it comes to the 1:160 scale?

Fine N Scale

You might check out Fine N Scale - Dick Billings is the owner of the company, who is also a member of our local model RR club and there are lots of his vehicles populating the N scale layout at the club.  These are solid resin cast vehicles that look pretty darn good.

And if you click on the photo icon at the top of the cars list and at the top of the trucks list, you'll see a sampling of the vehicles.

From Europe

Have a look at the Wiking range. They have been making N-scale cars in 1:160 since 1969.

https://www.wiking.de/en/shop/

Herpa also do a small range of vehicles. Some of these are used as the superstructure above the battery-powered chassis used in the Faller road system.

https://www.herpa.de/de/Miniaturmodelle?f%5BMassstab%5D%5B%5D=8&all-filters=1

Busch have some US-based models

https://www.busch-model.info/scale-model-cars/catalogue/?p=1 (Use Filter "Track-N" to select the N-scale models only)

While many of the vehicles are European-based, there might be some stuff in there that fits what you need

Good Luck and have fun hunting,

Regards,

I havent gone through all the links above, but is there someone out there who is making MODERN 2000+ vehicles?  I model the modern era and finding vehicles is looking like it will be a problem

There is a group that focuses on N scale vehicles, the N Scale Vehicle Association.

There website is http://nscalevehicles.org

They have a resource page listing manufacturers and websites for the vehicles.
