Id like to share and give a shout out to a Brick and Mortar location kind of tucked away in the state of CT. For anyone in the local area or within driving distance for a Saturday get away, the store is " Amatos Toy and Hobby New Britain Ct"

Model Railroading?

Do they have a decent model railroading section? Their Middletown location is a high-end toystore at this point, they have little model railroad selection. I used to go there all the time, but these days, it's not worth bothering, unfortunately. The service was decent too, but they just didn't ever have that much. A lot of my flex track came from there.

Amatos Toy

A few years ago I believe  they sold the Middletown store . It still has the name but is now different owners . I haven't been there in a few years but they did have a good selection . I have heard that the New Britain store has more stock now , will have to go and see .

New Britain

Thanks for the heads up- I'll have to go to each and do a comparison some day when the vaccine comes out. I don't think I've ever been to the store in Hard Hittin' New Britain, even though I live two town over from there.

Websites

It's also interesting that the websites are totally different now. Very confusing to say the least.

Goober..I didn't see much in

Goober..I didn't see much in the way of Walthers or  DPM wall sections, pre packaged Kit bash products etc.. they did have a number of kits and built ups..if they were there I missed them...It was a good find  for me because I found a few out of production items used and new still in box..you can try Time Machine Hobby in Manchester CT, there is also A.A. Hobbies in RI hes mostly HO and has a large selection of detail parts and wall sections etc...owner is John..very helpful knows  HO very well.

Hey Goober, was back in there

Hey Goober, was back in there the other day, I did locate some styrene parts and some reclaimed used building materials, ... a decent supply of scenic material, (woodland scenic) rolling stock, scenery details etc.. I did find again after taking some time find a few more out of production items that I liked..worth a trip even if its just once...good luck
