Hello Everyone,

As I was browsing through the recent Weekly Photo thread I saw @ Steve kleszyk compliment my recent Video (Thank You Steve). It hit me that I haven't posted here on MRH in some time so here it is.

A lot has been going on with my apartment friendly switching layout including a new extension for increased operation, more 3D printed items and even a new SW1200 Loco that I painted/detailed.

With this recent video I show some new scenery items that I enjoy using from Martin Welberg and practice some wonderful techniques from Mike Confalone using artist pigments for tinting roads, and snow piles using foam.

There are still a few details I will be adding to the scene including new pine trees in front on Ferraro Foods (these are placeholders until I can find nice, manicured pines). I hope you all enjoy.

Thanks John for sharing your layout...

I really like what you have done.  It's nice to see what can be done in a smaller spaces.  Though I must admit, in the latest video it looks like you can do staging across the top of the workbench where the paint is

Chain link fence

Very nice as always John. What is the fence kit? Alcolm? The Walthers is a pain to assemble. So it would be worth the price (incl shipping to Canada).

Thanks.

Alkem Scale Models

Thanks Brad, Alkem Scale Models makes the fence kit. Its a very nice product.

Thanks Steve, I have thought of continuing the layout around the room although I enjoy my wide open work bench and this time next year I will be out of my apartment and into a house with hopefully a larger spare bedroom.

Great work

Beautiful work on your layout John.  I really enjoyed your update, and in addition to the terrific scenery and weathering, I like the focus you place on getting vehicles right has well.  Great job!
