Gustav J Campagna

Hi gang,

I do not have my Employee Timetables handy and I'd like to know the codes used at Stations to show things like operators, water tanks, etc. Does anyone out there have a list I could copy? Or know where on the web to find the list, my searches are coming up empty.

Thanks,

Gus

I don't have any that would be useful...

...but you might specify a railroad, as I suspect these might be things that change from railroad to railroad, particularly in the past.

Timetable Symbols

There was a previous discussion about this sort of topic here:

Suffice to say, knowing what railroad's timetable you're looking at is very important as the specific letters may be different in different road's rulebooks. In the example in the linked thread, the FW&D symbols on the sample timetable (which were eventually figured out in the thread) are completely different than the ones used on Canadian roads that I'm familiar with.

(For Canadian railways, these symbols were unified, and were specified in the Uniform Code of Operating Rules rulebook used by all Canadian roads. So there was no explanation of them in the timetable itself, since all employees would be expected to possess and be familiar with the reigning rulebook.)
