Goose in The Caboose Productions

Hey guys. I picked this engine up secondhand at the Birmingham show a while back and finally got around having a dcc chip in it. I've been spending today breaking it in, but now that I'm starting to get into the lawer speed ranges I'm starting to hear a bit of whining from the mechanisim. Assuming I can get the shell off, what do I need to do to get rid of the squeal? Thanks in advance,

    Jacob.

Find out where the noise comes from. Motor and main gear bearings are a full tear down.

Good/Bad design?

I always heard such great things about the locos when they first came out, but I believe I've heard of lots of problems as time went on?   I hope not as I think I own 3 of them.

No problems here

I run the 4-40 and 4-6-0 both with belt drive.

I have over 20 running on the layout and have never had a problem

Started with the first spectrums released years ago..
