You won't get this kind of savings again very soon

If you've ever wanted some of our products, this is the time to get them. This pricing won't come again very soon.

Where the code goes on TMTV

A few TMTV folks have asked us where the BF40 discount code goes ... watch for it on this screen:

40% Off

Did I see or read somewhere that if you subscribed to TMTV it included Running Extra?

oh, for those who don’t do math, the 40% off TMTV for 12 months will pretty much cover a 12 month subscription for Running Extra. I might just buy myself an early Christmas present.

How it really works

As an introductory promo, if you bought a TMTV membership + $10, we would give you a Running Extra sub too.

That's been retired. Instead, TMTV members can now subscribe to Running Extra for $9.99, but to access that special offer buy now link, you need to be paid TMTV member first.

RE renewal

Will the RE price apply to a renewal of RE?

No is the short answer

Quote:

Long story short, no.

Once you subscribe, you have to wait out your subscription. This furthers our business decision to limit ourselves to a max obligation of 12 issues at a time.

For this reason we do not allow you to "extend" an active subscription. If you manually try to start a new subscription, that simply creates a second overlapping subscription, it doesn't do what you want.

In effect, this special only applies to brand new subscribers, subscribers who are up for renewal this month, or to the purchase of back issues.

Confused

Yes I'm a little confused also. I just figured it was time to renew??

Nope

Nope, one 12 issue subscription only. Next year you take your chances as to what we may be offering over Black Friday.

Probably not as good a deal, though. We tend to offer the really killer deals only once in a great while, to make them truly a good deal when offered.

@railandsail - You renewed and got a discount

Quote:

Yep, great timing for you, Brian. You expired this month, so renewing makes perfect sense. You show as renewed at the discounted rate, so you're all set.

Just sit back and enjoy your discounted new sub for the next 12 issues.

So what you are saying is...

...I would be better off to cancel my existing subscription that ends next month and start a new one now that will renew at a cut rate every Black Friday.

Hardly a great offer  for your existing long term subscribers.

These sales are rare and unpredictable

So what you’re saying is ...I would be better off to cancel my existing subscription that ends next month and start a new one now that will renew at a cut rate every Black Friday.

First off, the sub you buy at the discounted rate during this sale does not auto-renew, so you won’t get the discounted rate every year, only this one time.

Second, these sales are rare and unpredictable. That is deliberate for just the reason you mention. These deep discount prices are intended to get fence sitters to finally give us a try. They’re not intended to create a sub-genre of customers who live from sale to sale. That’s why we avoid regularity in these sales.

Do you remember the last 40% off sale? I don’t ... I know we did one but it’s been years and years. I’d have to go look it up. You simply depress the perceived value of your product if you keep offering fire sales regularly. Once in a very great while a fire sale can get new blood to try your product, and that’s the main intent.

We set our regular prices to be very affordable as it is. I do hope you understand these very rare deep discount sales are aimed at getting new blood to find what we hope you’ve already found: even our everyday prices are a bargain for what you get.

The best rate...

The best rate for TMTV is probably this sale.

The best rate for RE is the TMTV member's price of $9.99 available from the "More" page on TMTV.

Subscription

How do I find out when my current subscription to RE expires?

With a conventional subscription its on the mailing label, where is that equivalent on MRH-RE?

Starting this month (November), we sent you an email announcement about the latest issue entitled:
Nov 8 - Running Extra subscriber update ... and Dave our system tells us you opened and read the email on Nov 8th.

If you look in the email you will find this about your sub ...
Ends: February 2020

You will be getting this email every month from now on, so you will be well informed repeatedly when you expire.

Your system

Just so you are clear, your system doesn't tell you if I read the e-mail, it just says something happened to the e-mail.  For example if it was moved from the inbox to another folder.  I will look for the December e-mail.

Subscription management

Since we are talking subscriptions:

Where do we go to manage our subscription to RE?  Things such as turning on or off auto renew, changing payment method, etc.?

Only auto-renew subs have a "manage" panel

Quote:

Only auto-renew subscriptions have a management panel.

Dave, your sub is a one-time sub, so there's nothing to manage. On the month that your subscription expires we will send you an email with a renewal link in it.

The only other thing you can do with a one-shot sub is you can email us and ask to cancel, get a refund for unused issues, and the like.

Going forward, all new subs are auto-renew because that's what most prefer and it gives you a management panel. If you cancel, that cancels the payment part, but you still get your 12 issues.

The uber-discounted new subs at 40% off are not auto-renew because they are limited to a one-time sub at this discount.
