Hello. This is my first post on this excllent new site. I primarily model SP in the mid-1950's, but here's a few pictures of some of my friend Rob Mallett's SP power from a more modrn time.  They were taken yesterday on our club layout, Anson Yard:

Great stuff! I'm working on a diesel servicing facility myself, so these photos came at a perfect time.

Glad you like them, Ken, and

Glad you like them, Ken, and thaks for the interest. Here's a couple more with an overall view of the facility, this time with some of my SD7s in residence:

It occupies qute a small footprint, but can accommodate at least a dozen locos.  As you can probably guess, the buildings are Pikestuff, which I knocked together, and I modified the single track engine shed slightly.  My friend Rob is responsible for all the detailing work.  Although it's supposed to be a more modern facility, locomotives of the 1950's don't seem too much out of place.

These show the engine shed a bit better:

MODERATOR NOTE: Edited your post to change the IMG tags links (which don't work on the MRH site) to image posts using the image button in the button panel at the top of the edit window. The image button is the one with the mountain and the little sun/moon. Just click the button, then take the URL between your image tags and paste it into the URL box. Also change the image width to 700 pixels, max.

WOW! Mine won't be anywhere near as detailed...

Brian, that's totally awesome work! I'll be using the 3-Foot Rule on mine until I get some of my other structures built, then I'll come back to it.  In the meantime I'll just go with the fueling hoses/racks, and some oil stains on the platform.  Of course, after seeing your pix, I just might do an open-air pump shed like you did.  Thanx for the additional photos.

[BTW: I re-inserted your image links, since the embedding software here at MRH works differently from what the various mrr forums use...]
