Station Agent

I'm starting this thread as a showcase for photos of Roomettes projects.  If you have photos of your own models, either completed or in progress, please post them.  I love seeing the creative things people do with their interiors.  Let's get lit!

Crafton Ave Service Station

Here's the classic City Classics Crafton Ave Service Station.  A Woodland Scenics nano LED was added to a scratchbuilt housing on the 76 sign, with the wire glued to the back of the post.

Dale's Variety

A sign lit with Woodland Scenics wall-mount lamps helps to turn the unassuming Rix Products "Sally's Antiques" into a building common to just about every town in America.

Gilmor Hotel (Arlington Hotel Kit)

Shown it before, but this is my Gilmor Hotel.  Still a bit of work to do on it, but its getting there.  I'm also building a little diorama to place buildings on when completed and then can take photos that have a real scene.

The Hour Glass (Mongillo Jewelers)

Here are a few shots of my take on Mongillo Jewelers - this is an homage to a local Saskatoon shop where the owner was a watch repair specialist but also an avid model railroader and sold some model trains in store.  Looking at these, I need to get some better photos.  Going to buy a GoPro Hero7 in a few weeks so hopefully that helps with the depth of field.

It's curtains for you, Dave!

The curtains are a nice touch.  They help push the 3-D illusion.

Broadway apartments

Is that someone's dad or a jealous boyfriend?  Either way, there's going to be some drama at Broadway Apartments tonight.

...

If you made these in O scale, especially for older (wartime or pre-war) structures, I'd probably buy a set. But in HO, I have no use...

Rooftop Neon

How did you get that rooftop sign to light like that!?

I have this same kit and now that I have seen the Roomettes it’s stiring some inspiration.

Thanks

Jason.

Neon

The neon sign is a Miller Engineering kit but they no longer have that one, or similar ones, on their website.  Mostly multi-graphic ones now.  I just checked MRH sponsor Pacific Western Rail (PWRS) and they show it as " available" but not sure what that means.

Snowy scene

Barry,  That Shot "ROCKS",  for some of the older crowd brings back a time periods that will never be seen in 3D other than this hobby of model railroading and such endeavors.

My minds eye truly did enjoy.  Great for the holiday here,, no snow.'s

Thanks, Boudreaux.

Thanks, Boudreaux.  My memories of those buses is that the interiors were always green.  I'm not sure if the windows were tinted or if the lighting was fluorescent, or both.

Here's a look under the hood

Here's a look under the hood of an N-scale diorama I built for display at the Amherst Railroad Hobby Show.   14 LEDs in eight structures, powered by a Woodland Scenics Just Plug system. This configuration has the capacity to add two more hubs.

I've been waiting

to finish the two N scale kits I picked up from you last month but finding N scale figures in these times has been a challenge.  I got one set but need a couple more.  Once I have those, it won't take long to finish them up.  Maybe should work on the HO kits...

Here's the "Parker's House"

Here's the "Parker's House" installed in City Classics' Railroad Street Company House kit.  An additional LED was added outside as a porch light.

I've started on a diorama

Even though I'm moving out of HO, I just wanted to 'speriment with this novel idea. Thanks, Barry.

I'll post more when it's done.

This is the Roomettes interior for the Atlas Signal Tower kit that many of us grew up with.
