FOS Wharf a next step foward

Hello everybody,

Sunny sunday here in Belgium; very fine weather.

I worked hard the last three days on my Fos wharf in N scale.

All the houses are finished now, painted wheathered and ready to be put definitively on the wharf.

The wharf itself is nearly complete, a full day work to put all the pillings and the cross members in place; missing are the big pilling outside the wharf which protect it from ships.

Guy's beleive me there is a real forest under this small wharf and I will wait a bit before building a new one.

( see more on  my blog about he full construction of this wharf in N scale).

The wharf pilings may be on the bottom

but their addition has taken the entire model way over the top!

I believe that this is the best N scale structure that I have ever seen.

congratulations Marc!

Roomettes Interior

Hey all,

It's been a while since I last posted, I've been working on a tutorial video building the Woodland Scenics DPM Freight House with an interior kit from Roomettes.

P1290508.JPG

I finally finished the construction of the building and now I'm about to start working on the surrounding scenery.

P1290524.JPG

I ended up completely removing the door to get a better view of the interior, similar to Barry Silverthorn's display model.

P1290526.JPG

P1290527.JPG Most of the interior details were 3D printed and the dock area was also inspired by Barry's display model. Once the rest of the surrounding scenery has been added I have a bunch of other 3D printed details to populate the dock.

Marc...

Your dock is fantastic! To start with I didn't even realize it was N scale, it wasn't until I read Ricks reply that I realized (and that's a compliment, N scale is hard work)! It looks superb and I bet if will look even more impressive with some water underneath, I'll be keeping an eye on future updates

Fantastic Marc

Fantastic Marc, particularly considering it is N scale.

Have you relocated to Canada yet?

WOW!

Marc - that's gotta be the coolest wharf scene I've ever seen! Keep up the good work!

Steve - nice hopper and great scene, guess the sun does shine in Ohio

Luke - great build and details, you never cease to amaze! Looking forward to the video.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find something to wipe the drool off my chin!

It’s 1970something....

And due to track work on other lines, the Southern Pacific ran a few freights through Playa Desnuda. It was a rare treat to see an old U30C in the consist. They would all be gone by 1985

am I the only N Scale Pacific Electric Freight modeler in the world?
