What is the size of the screws used in most brass imports for mounting the couplers?

The one size you don't have....

Many are metric.  2mm, 2.5mm, and 3mm.  Some good hardware stores carry them.

If all else fails, you can drill out the hole slightly bigger and tap 1-72 or 2-56.

Micro Fasteners

Try Micro Fasteners.  They carry english and metric screws, nuts, drills, thread taps, etc.

2x4mm center hole, 1.4x4mm side holes

2mm diameter x 4mm length for center hole through Kadee coupler. 

If you go through the side ears of the Kadee, then 1.4x4mm, .2mm thread pitch

from the facebook group " Brass model paint and repair"

 

Very close to 2-56 screw.
