I just received what will probably be my last shipment of iPhone 4S speakers.
It looks like the reliable supplies of these speakers are drying up.

I offer these speakers in 4 packs for $6.50 or 10 packs for $13 including free shipping in the USA.

These speakers are very popular and give an excellent sound quality at a very low price point.
They are listed on my Accessories page as IP4SPK and IP4SPK-10.

Get them while you can!

maybe

I have used several dozen of those in the past.. was wondering when the supply would dry up. That said, I may get one of the iphone 7/8 replacement speakers to try.. If anyone has tried them , how are they? They are pretty small and cost a couple bucks including shipping..fyi

That's an earpiece speaker,

That's an earpiece speaker, not the "loudspeaker" that's illustrated above in the previous post. Whole different animal, and it has very VERY fine springs for contact on the side not shown. The earpiece speaker is roughly 15mm square, and 3mm thick, with a single port roughly 2 x 5 mm in the middle of the side not shown.  It's designed to be heard about an inch from your ear. It's not likely to prove very useful, unless you know the formulas and can design a Bose-like sound horn enclosure and 3d print it.

Part pf my job used to be cell phone repair.

Nice sale

Nice sale, Bill! I have several of these speakers installed and they sound great. Beats $10 each for sugar cube speakers from other hobby sources. The long skinny form factor fits great inside a diesel hood.

I have 2 in my S scale diesel , they fit side by side up on the top of the shell with the sound firing down thru the truck mount spaces. They sound quite nice driven by a 2 amp Econami decoder....DaveB

I normally

I normally keep around twenty or so of the buzzer speakers in my storage bin. I never buy less than twenty when I order, but as Bill said, the sources are drying up.

My fall back so far has been the ESU 50321 LokSound Sugar Cube Speaker, but they are much higher priced and I can’t afford to buy in bulk.

So Bill, and others, where do we go from here? I would like to find something of the size and sound quality of the ESU 50321, but currently I don’t know what to try. I need to go back and review the speaker testing thread.

Enclosures are going to be a problem also.

No problem

Dear Tim,

Not a problem, solve both speaker-driver + enclosure issues with the offerings from ScaleSoundSystems.com...

Indeed

ScaleSounds is a completely different level than the iPhone speakers and he'll custom make them to fit your particular loco.  Once I installed my first one it became clear I couldn't go back to anything else.

iPhone 8 Earpiece speaker works fine

I got a few of these for $1.20 each and tried them. They work fine, maybe not as great as the ESU but I'm still playing with enclosures. Just by itself it seems to use the shell as an enclosure to some effect. But saving a few bucks on the total cost would not be worth it if the sound quality suffers too much. Still playing...

what's left?

Boy these are popular today!

I have had a steady stream of orders for these speakers today and as of right now, I have four 10 packs and four 4 packs left. When these are gone, that will be the end of my stock.

Thanks MRH friends for your support!

First off, I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but maybe Joe, you can point me in the proper direction since it is your layout in the video. What is the method that you use to throw switches with the dead-bolt? I’d like to learn more about that!

PDC.CA- bought two 10 packs, thank you! Your sale and the need for speakers for some engines coincided. Like it was meant to be. Haha
