I have the BLI Paragon 3 Rolling Thunder Subwoofer and receiver, and all of the cables -- EXCEPT ONE.

The track power cable.

I can find ZERO documentation on this mysterious cable, no photos of what it looks like, or where it plugs into the RT receiver. My guess is that is plugs into the 3.x mm jack on the front as there is only a power cable and the RCA connection to the sub.

Anyone have any information on this thing?

DC barrel connector

Dear ?? (Coolruehle) NO, do Not plug any form of Power into a 3.5mm minijack socket! According to the manual, there is a DC "barrel type" power socket on the rear of the receiver (Not the "Subwoofer"), Which you plug in a plugpack to for analog/DC operation. It is this same barrel socket that you plug the (missing?) "track power cable" into for DCC operation. (IE the receiver takes both Commands _and_ power from the DCC track feed). I would look carefully at the supplied receiver DC power plugpack cable, just in case it's somehow designed to unplug from the "wall wart" box and become the "track power cable", But in the first instance, I'd get in touch with BLI Support and see if they will replace/supply the missing cable... Thank you!

Prof K,

Well that's a real big DUH on my part!  Yes, track power into the barrel connector. Makes TOTAL sense. The cable does not disconnect from the wall wart.  But I can can make one easy peasy.

Thanks for the help!

BLI Site?

Hi,

I gave away my Rolling Thunder. I wasn't all that impressed with it.

From what I recall the track cable was used to set CVs in the receiver.

Use of the cable begins around page 14.

Hope that helps, Ed
