Is there an update on the April issue? Joe usually posts an update if issue is after the last Friday. Did I miss a post or some information? Hope all is well with Joe and family.

Release later today

We're still running a bit behind on issue releases -- I spent three days earlier this month going to HUB Division meet in Mass. as the guest clinician, so that did put me a bit behind.

I'm expecting MRH this evening, RE tomorrow evening, and the mass come-and-get-it email blast to be on Monday April 1 this week.

We're doubling down to get back on schedule with the May issue.

There were some significant changes this time

There have been some changes this time in MRH and RE: - Yes it's a model has been replaced with Best of MRH Website this month. - Derailments has been replaced with Savvy Modeler online. - RE cover will feature something extra in RE rather than an alternative view of the MRH cover story. Yes its a model and Derailments are "editorial content" meaning they're fun but fluffy content rather than roll-up-your-sleeves-and-lets-do-the-hobby content. With the ad erosion and page shrinkage of MRH, editorial content becomes a much higher percent of the magazine. We're replacing editorial content with something much meatier now -- how-to-model-better content. In effect, this adds two more "real articles" back to the MRH article mix, and does it in a way that's short but impactful. As for the RE cover, we felt featuring some of the new content in RE on the cover would make it more obvious that RE is mostly about EXTRA articles you don't get in MRH. Just one more way to communicate all the cool stuff in RE that you may be missing! For 19.99 per year, you don't need to miss this cool stuff any longer!

Been refreshing to make sure my browser is updated. Getting antsy.

Have my first ad running so I'm a bit more anxious than normal.

Different cover on Running Extra

Joe, the different cover was actually a bit confusing.

I was super excited to see Ted York’s layout featured, but kept thinking the link was incorrect due to the different cover on the RE version.

For a minute, I was certain it must have been an April fools joke...

I think “making the cover” is probably a big deal to most people. (I know I’d be extremely excited!). Ted York’s layout sort of doesn’t become the cover feature once you download the RE edition. (Of course, I was happy to see Jack Burgess’ material on the cover also).

Just some random thoughts from a guy who enjoys the magazine...

Keep up the great work!!!

Interesting feedback

I can see the confusion. We want it to be more clear that Running Extra is MORE content, hence the different cover. I think the answer is to put a thumbnail of the MRH cover on the RE cover and make it clickable. Have it say also includes all of MRH and it jumps you directly to the MRH section straightaway.
