I’m curious  about something and am wondering if the group might have an answer. I got a new iPhone 10 and at the same time I finally broke down and bought an iPad, the new 10” Pro. They are basically identical with the same apps, IOS, and functionality. My problem is this.  The iPhone keeps me logged in for days at a time and the iPad does not. It’s so bad that if I accidentally hit the delete (backspace to non Apple users) once too many I get to the first screen and have to log in again.

Anybody have any ideas how to stay logged in even for a few days??

Thanks in advance........

Peter

For me, the login is good for a week regardless of which device - I use an iPhone sometimes, an iPad quite often, and a desktop computer sometimes.  No problems on any of them.

Perhaps when you're going back (that delete key is a shortcut for hitting the browser back button) you're going back to the login screen, but you're still logged in.  Next time you get in that state, try not logging in, but just go to the main MRH site: https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/.  I bet you'll find you're still logged in.

check your cookie settings

ipad

I don't seem to have a problem with my ipad staying logged in so it's likely not generic to the device. When logged in you will see your user name up on the right above the menu column, if logged out you'll see a log in space, so perhaps  check to make sure you are really logged out and not just backing to the log in page? Could it be a lag in your internet service making you think you are where you are not on the program?  I'm sure you'll find the answer to the problem as more people see the thread.....DaveB

I have an IPhone 8 and IPad (4? the one that is paper sized)

I usually have to log in, but it has the login/ password ready to go with one click. I usually use the iPad unless I am at work.

Am I missing a link to a mobile friendly version of the site?  It's not really easy to use on my iPhone X with either Safari or Firefox for iOS.
