Work car

First up is an Accurail double door boxcar I converted to a work car along the lines of some CSX cars like 910946

Attempted to patch for my road with homemade decals on Micro Mark paper but that part didn’t come out too great. I printed a block of blue decals and cut out smaller ones from it, then the edges chipped. 

(Posted to WPF recently too). 

 

 

Crusty patch out

Next up is a couple of Walthers boxcars. Taking a shot at a mini assembly line since I spend a lot of time finding materials and setting up for each step. Got one done patched for SRN 7161

NYNH&H Steam

These are a couple of NH steam engines I painted and weathered. 

Weathering

Very nice.  B&M car is nice and subtle (as are the steamers), SRN car looks like an IPD re-tread should look.

Cool work car

Nice work on all of them. I really like that work car. A unique piece of rolling stock.

Thanks Dave and ‘Vark!  Both were fun projects and very different.  SRN must have picked up dozens of old IPD cars from various roads, they have quite a few tetanus-inducing beater cars roaming the rails.  I’ll do some more patchouts but probably not such rusty examples
