for the update. I love narrow gauge. I went to your layout blog. Beautiful job! I think your detail painting is inspired and as you say, it looks good under layout lighting. I never actually thought of doing that. I bet Joe would love an article on that. I don't remember seeing one.

I really liked the engine in the pit. I've seen prototype photographs very similar. LOL

Weathering post

I guess my point in that post was to paint for what is perceived, rather than what is perfectly accurate.  My goal is that the perception is correct in the end, and surprisingly that's not always the same as perfectly accruate.
