By now I expect that many people in the hobby have heard of the record setting T-Trak layout at Kansas City. According to the layout's Facebook account, there were 340 modules of varied sizes, the equivalent of 732 single T-Trak modules. The mainline run was 28.4 scale miles.

I have 134 photos that I've edited to post here. A few may be close duplicates where I haven't decided which to actually post. Either way - this is going to take awhile.

There were several award winning modules in the T-Trak layout:

This was one corner of the layout, and with it's Union Station model and the storm next to it, it made a logical starting place:

This is actually an action

This is actually an action station - that coal dumper in the center of the photo works. The boys on the other side are working with a bascule bridge -

Whole Shebang

Did they ever run trains around the whole thing?  While we were there they seemed to be just running around the smaller "lobes".  Did they ever run trains around the entire circumference of the full layout and have trains that ran over every module?

It was quite an impressive collection of modules.

So cool...

Though... I STILL have no idea what "T-Track" is... is it like EZ Track? Is it a scale? A Type of bench work?

I have no idea...

Dave & Warfight

Dave,

I heard something about a "Parade of Trains" they were running on a regular basis, but I was never around at the right time to see it. On their FB post with the layout diagram they do explain how long it took for a train to go all the way around, so apparently it was done.

Warfight,it's a modular standard - here's a fishing pole: http://www.t-trak.org/  Have fun catching some fish.

I'm used to whimsical modules

I'm used to whimsical modules on NTS layouts... I wasn't quite ready for an ant farm.

That's it for T-Trak. Quite the layout.

Thanks for the compliments

One thing about these shows, is as soon as one is done, I'm trying to think how I could do the next one (SLC here I come!) better.
