Very small snowy diorama I tried out used baby powder for snow and I think it turned out pretty well heres some photos:

Looking good.  I use it and it lasts a surprisingly long time. About the only drawback - if it is a drawback - is that being so fine,  if you brush it away it will smudge and lighten the landscape. Vigorous brushing will remove it though.

The only drawback for me...

... is that it's likely going to smell like baby powder. Fresh as a baby's bottom!

P.S.  Some brands are more

P.S.  Some brands are more cream in colour when placed alongside others.  Curash which contains corn starch is good and white, and it's less perfumed than some as well.

Looks good!

Being a Vermonter who has seen snow once or twice before, I might comment that the fineness is very believable. I liked the effect.
