What you are looking at is a decoder,  FREE-MO style. You can get an idea of the size by the fact the picture up close is partially in focus. This is surface mount technology. Who needs a circuit board!...

I'd hate to meet  the guy who solder this together. He probably speaks to himself.

Ingenuity Beyond Belief

I have debates with people in my age group and they insist what makes America great is our Ingenuity.

 

Then I see what the rest of the world is doing and I shake my head and groan.  It's absolutley amazing - now why aren't we doing it????
