I have a quick question. Does anyone know if the Atlas Trainman GP38-2 Shell is a drop in fit for the Atlas Master series GP38 chassis with sound? Thanks, Shane

Same drive?

Per the Atlas website, Trainman and Master locos use the same drives, which would lead me to believe that the GP38's would have similar, if not identical frames.

Frames

I believe the frames are different.  The tabs on the body interfere with the frame but they can be cut off.  You will however have to glue the sill to the body and use the couplers to hold it on like an Athearn.
