I am about to try to make my first bridge -- a typical 50's concrete highway bridge.  I have used Mindheim's system of using photos to make buildings -- I like the results.

But how to make the bridge -- whether I make it from balsa or styrene - to look like aged concrete? There are websites where you can get lots of good photos of aged concrete -https://www.textures.com/. 

I am thinking of making the bridge of balsa and then glue texture photos to it.  Has anyone tried this approach?
