The deck

The deck is a kit all by itself! Hundreds of individual boards, about 400 rail clips, a few fishplates and thousands of nail detail!  Is it starting to justify the cost?m43.jpg m44.jpg m45.jpg m46(1).jpg

Cost

DanielB, A large kit like this I just break down in my head as five inexpensive kits.  Trestle, structure, track and walkways, office and outbuildings! As you see I build that way and at the end it will all come together as one big kit! I am making coal shoots and detailing the trestle now. I screwed up the chain trying to blacken it and have new black on order.  (brass chain and gun blue don't mix ate it up!) All in all just take your time and don't let it intimidate you.
