hey guys I’m looking for some coupler lever bars to put on my modern rolling stock.  The only ones I’ve been able to find are made by Plano. I was wondering if there are any other bars out there and if I do order from Plano which ones should I get?  They have a few different models. I want to put them on my boxcars and corn syrup cars.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

coupler lever bars ?

The usual way to get them is to bend them from brass wire, about .010" for HO scale.A photo of a prototype car like you are working on is a good guide to how they should be shaped.....DaveB

Hi Pat,

The intro to the post shows a car with cut levers done the way Dave mentioned.  It also makes reference to a TMTV video that shows how it’s done.

It’s not a hard process and looks great!
