Thought I would post a few photos of HOn3 rolling stock I have built over the years...rairie14.jpg 

This locomotive was built from one of those MDC 3 in 1 kits, based on a Mexican prototype.

And this hopper was built from scale lumber and illustration board.

Yeah!

Now there's a couple of nice pieces of gear. There's really a nice character to those pieces in addition to the fine modeling. Thanks for sharing, hope to see more.

Always enjoy seeing other southwest themed work.  I was thinking of a similar outcome for a MDC 3in1.

Yes, the shay is a modified

Yes, the shay is a modified MDC. It's not modified that much - just the gearbox and the motor.  Oh, and I made a custom frame because I cut this one down from a 3 truck version after I could never get the third truck to work right.  The passenger car is bashed from to Model Power/Pocher cars spliced together.
