One of the benefits of my job is that I get to fly around in helicopters.  On my recent trip to eastern Quebec we flew out of the airport at Havre St. Pierre.  The QIT (Quebec Iron and Titanium) railway bridge is just to the west of the airport, so I made a point of requesting the pilot to fly around the bridge so I could take some photos - one of the perks of being the boss.  He did so, and I am thinking I need to figure out a reason to have this bridge on my layout.  Not correct for my locale but pretty cool none the less.  The fact that it crosses over a set of rapids just makes it that much more model-genic.  Now to get cracking on that second level of the layout.

That would be a neat bridge

That would be a neat bridge to model, Marc. As for the terrain, you'd need one big layout ; )

although small....

Marc...although that is a rather small waterfall....very very dramatic ! I have never seen anything like that modeled before. I think that would be a perfect setting for that unique bridge also. The fact that it is perched atop that large bolder / rock makes a unique scene. I hope you pursue this as a focal point in your Model Railroad.

Ideal size for a layout.

The bridge and associated waterfall look ideal for a layout.  A convincing rendering of the scene could be done in a two foot wide baseboard in HO and one foot in N.  The drop in water level isn't so much as to need awkward benchwork to accommodate it either.  I think you are going to be making a lot of trees though.....

I look forward to seeing the end result, eyecatching to say the least.
