Finished painting main part of fascia today, satin black. The center shelf for my controller I'll paint a lighter color. Haven't decided what yet.

Getting ready to mount a couple of RailCrew remote uncouplers. Picked up some PVC fittings to mount the switch & LED. Painted those a primer gray. Gonna mount the first uncoupler down by the farm (Front left). The main engine can uncouple there and then pull on out. Then the little tanker switch engine can come on down from the covered area at the banana plantation (Upper left), connect and pull the cars up for loading. Then reverse that action for the main engine to pick up.

Rail crew uncoupler

Your fascia looks great. Let us know how that RC uncoupler works out. I tried to get mine to work and had no luck. I even upped the power supply so it had more kick to move the rotating magnets. Nothing.

I wish you luck.

Re RailCrew Uncoupler

I did a test setup with mine and mocked up a piece of flex track on some foam. I used a 12VDC 500ma wall wart from and old device I no longer use. The magnets on mine do rotate, and I've found that the unit needs to be right up against the ties for reliable uncoupling. You also need to make sure your couplers are moving freely on the cars. I had a couple that seemed to hang up a bit, but after moving them back and forth with my finger a bit they freed up.
