2nd Post

I'll try this again. My first post for some reason has disappeared.(Perhaps I failed to select a specific forum the first time around?) I've left Model Railroader Magazine forum for Greener pastures. Joe used to post over there several years ago and I was one of his biggest fans. This forum seems light years ahead as far as information and new ideas are concerned. And I figured if Al Mayo hasn't been kicked off this site yet, then it's good enough for me
.
I model HO circa 1995 for the Davenport, Rock Island & Northwestern Railroad located here in the Quad Cites. (Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Davenport). It went belly up June 21st of 1995. It was actually absorbed by the BN and Soo Line Railroads. It was an industrial switching railroad shared by BN and SOO.

Not currently - most people are pretty good about just posting their own topics and keeping them updated. The signal to noise ratio is also pretty high, so people's posts don't usually get buried in non-related topics.
One other great thing I think you'll appreciate is the lack of post counts; just removing that mechanic seems to really cut down some of the "noise" level.
It's nice to see you here, by the way.

Irregardless of the reasons, it's great to have you join us here at MRH, Driline.
Actually, Al has been a model member of this forum although he is not a regular visitor. I think Al is busy with his weathering videos on youtube.
Hope you enjoy the MRH experience!
