To All: The Mississippi railroad the Fernwood & Gulf RR started out in 1908 as a logging line. In 1920 it was renamed the Fernwood, Columbia & Gulf and by 1972 became part of the Illinois Central Gulf RR. Little can be found of this 25 mile short line today.
