It has happened sometime where I can't use the scroll wheel on MRH. Other sites it works fine and seems to be fairly off and on. Does anyone else have this problem? I can still click and use the bar when this happens but wonder if it something that could eb fixed on the other end.

Lost focus

I've been coding websites for 19+ years now, and I can tell you with 99.99999% certainty that there is no special coding done on the backend for mouse wheels.

What might be happening is that you have lost focus - that is to say that the area of the screen with the content of the website is not where your mouse's digital brain is focused. If the wheel stops scrolling, just left click on the content to focus the mouse's attention there and that should fix the problem.

What browser?

I've had this problem & tracked it down to Google Chrome smooth scrolling bug.

I disabled the smooth scrolling & it seems to have fix the problem for me.

Type this in the address bar "chrome://flags/#smooth-scrolling"

The list of flag options is quite large so my advice is don't fiddle with any other options.

This may or may not help you!

Cheers

Must be some local setting ...

The problem must be some local setting because I use Chrome most of all and I *live* on the scroll wheel. Never have a problem. You didn't say what system or device this is. PC or Mac? Windows 10, or what version of OS X? What browser do you ordinarily use? I'm using a Windows 10 PC and the latest version of Chrome.

Wireless Mouse

If using a wireless mouse, when the battery gets low, the mouse gets erratic.

Just had this happen

I have three tabs open in Chrome, was using MRH and scrolling, then when I went back to the Recent Posts, it would not scroll.  I went to my two other tabs and it scrolled there, but still not on the MRH tab.  I closed the MRH tab and re-opened it and it was all good.  Very strange, but you aren't crazy, Keegan!  Still an easy fix when it happens - just close the tab and re-open.

computer compatably

My frequent (all the time) problem is, no image when I try to pull up any of the recent posts. All I get is a black screen or a plain white screen. It takes 2 or 3 refresh clicks to finally get on the screen. This has been happening for the last few months. I use Explorer.

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer, aye?

Quote:

From the Microsoft website:
Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

So that means if you're running Windows XP or Windows Vista, you're out of luck. As the web keeps changing more and more websites will fail on your old obsolete Windows system. Windows XP or Vista are also not getting any security patches either so you're taking a big risk every time you get online with those old systems.

Also I.E. use has dropped to less than 20% of the browser sessions on our site, but it's still 90% of the time the browser with errors reported to us. That means I.E. is an extremely buggy browser. The joke among web professionals is the best thing you can do with I.E. is to use it to download a better browser.

Just saying ...
