To All: The Detroit, Caro & Sandusky RY sprang fron the bankrupt Detroit , Bay City & Western RR in 1925. The line ran from Bay City to Fargo, Michigan 17 miles short of Port Huron, Michigan. It terminated there on account of the expense of rebuilding a bridge at Mill Creek just south of Fargo. The operation ended in 1952 on account of lack of business and competition from trucks. I painted, lettered and weathered this "What If" boxcar to honor this Michigan short line. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout.

DC&S

Even in the November, 1931 ORER the DC&S didn't have any equipment in interchange.  It was a neat little RR and an article on it was in one of the first Trains magazines I bought.
