I've created a new FB page to make discussion and sharing of my modeling easier, and create a kind of permanent repository for lots of photos. I updated my own blog with some of the reasons for creating the page:

The new FB page is here:

I've also been working on another set of structures - what will eventually become a coal mining facility in Mancos, Colorado.  It won't be prototypical (unlike most of the layout's structures), but there was coal mining in this area, and I needed something to support operations in this town.

I'm using two Campbell kits here - the Supply Warehouse (which becomes a mining supplies warehouse) and the mine itself (based on the Silver Spur mine).  I've mostly completed the warehouse (more photos below) and I'm _slowly_ working through the Silver Spur mine, which is more difficult than I anticipated.

I made some changes, using board-by-board to create a loading dock, replacing the windows with laser-cut ones from Rusty Stumps, and (first time for me) using actual glass for the glazing.

Very Nice Looking - Is that real glass in the window?

Steven:

I like the structure...very nice looking.

Question: Is that real glass in the window?

Yep - real glass

Yes, I decided I wanted to teach myself how to work with glass, and I love the results.  Diamond-tipped scriber off eBay, a metal straight edge, some microscope glass from a long-used kids' microscope.

Scribe the glass, break it gently over a small rod (underwater - changes surface tension and helps).

In my case (so far) I've been adding the mullions to the glass, then placing the glass on the structure.

Excellent

I don't feel compelled to comment on many posts but I have to say this is a real nice job. It is nice to see a basic Campbell kit get upgraded and look real good. Not that Campbell kits are bad in their original state but it does take time to get these to look good and the shingles and windows have made this a standout model. Well done.

burlap bags

I need bags that are tied at one end. I found some at a war diorama supplier but trashed the link. Can you tell us about these bags?

burlap bags - scale? 3D printed?

Sand Bags

I got them from a local board games / miniatures shop, which has a pile of military stuff. I don't recall the brand, but there were 100 for $12 or so.  They're sandbags in perhaps 1/50th scale, and work well for bagged supplies in HO (I think).

I sprayed painted them with a camouflage rattle can in tan, then (while the paint was still tacky) dusted on off white Pan Pastels.

Laser-cut windows from Rusty Stumps

Those delicate window mullions look terrific! I'll adopt your practice of gluing them to the glass before assembling to the structure. Thanks for sharing your modeling.

I love the look of real

I love the look of real glass. I use it on my models. I will also be trying the Rusty Stumps windows. I have thought about them before and I think I will like the results as well as Tichy and the price is better on a building with lots of windows and it will give a different look when mixed with Tichy and Grandt Line.
